Android, for Geeks or Everyone?

Well, as I write better in this topic, Android is one of the top topics these days to talk about according to what people want to read … So I’d try to make it clear for everyone that Android isn’t only for Geeks … !

Starting with a bit of history “not old”, Android started 4 years ago with some Linux developers in Google, so it was and still being programmed mainly by Java with some “C and C++” …

That part was for the geeks, Android phones usually have two choices when you buy them, the obvious choice is you would use it as normal as you’d use your IPhone or Nokia “previously”, and it would operate smoothly and fast “depending on the phone I guess”, that will also have the support of the manufacturer and Google guys themselves …

The 2nd less obvious choice is if you’re up for some testing and a lot of play around with the software “believe me, it doesn’t take a genius to try”, that is done by changing the phone’s software with the help of Developers “who are everywhere now” who use the same device you use … and if you feel you’re a bit geeky “or up for it”, you can make your own version of Android “that’s called ROM; a version of Android” …

But with the 2nd choice you’d lose the phone’s warranty and you’ll probably be with yourself and the good developers around the Internet on places like “XDA Developers” which I consider the best place to go for such things …

So, you’d ask … it still sounds geeky … I would say with Android you can make more things than you can make on your IPhone or Blackberry …

So into more details, with Android you can have a lot “and I mean a lot” of free apps that I’m sure the IPhone or BB doesn’t have as people have tried them, another good thing, Android is open source, so a lot of Developers make a lot of apps that aren’t free on IPhone like some games or call recorders …
Another plus for the Android is that you customize the looks of your device “not just wallpapers” but everything:

Check this website for more things you can do on Android and not dream of them in others:

With Android, you can have the support of Developers “and believe me it’s far better than your manufacturer warranty”, better than Apple support that will eventually say “Please visit us to figure out the problem” as it’s usually a hardware problem …

Android phones have more dependency on software so you can make a lot out of the software to make your phone feels much quicker than it actually is “or than it actually supposed to sometimes” …

Apple IPhones are made for 1st and a bit to the 2nd worlds, BB is available to those who can provide its “special” service, Android is for everyone and it is open to everyone, nothing to hide there …
